Après le succès de Veronica Mars Movie sur Kickstarter, Zach Braff surtout connu comme acteur pour son rôle dans Scrubs et comme réalisateur de Garden State, a décidé d'utiliser le même procédé pour que ses fans l'aide dans le financement de son prochain film intitulé Wish I was here. En seulement trois jours la jauge de 2 millions $ a été atteinte. A l'heure actuelle, le projet a atteint 2, 647, 659 $ grâce à l'aide de 38, 792 backers (participants) et il reste encore 8 jours pour y participer.

La projection privée à Paris réservée aux Backers a eu lieu hier soir au Publicis cinéma. Zach Braff est venu présenté son film puis après la projection est revenu faire Q&A.
